Our Product

WHAT ARE SYSTEM BUILT HOMES?
System-built homes are constructed in a manufacturing facility in sections and then transported to a job site 90-95% complete. Once the home reaches the job site, the sections are lifted onto the foundation by crane. A finish crew will then complete the home by tying in the roof sections, siding, and interior finish.

WHERE ARE THE PRODUCTION FACILITIES LOCATED?
All American Homes currently builds homes in 35 states served by five production facilities. Easy Living Homes sells homes constructed in the Decatur, Indiana facility. Unibilt homes are built in Vandalia, Ohio. Plant tours are provided from both companies on a regular basis. Contact us for more information.

WILL I HAVE A WIDE RANGE OF HOME STYLES TO CHOOSE FROM?
Yes, Easy Living Homes offers hundreds of floor plan combinations in ranch, 1 1/2 story (cape cod), and two story designs. In addition to the many plans we offer, a wide range of optional design elements are available to complement your floor plan. A staff of engineers is available at each facility to implement the design you create with the assistance of Easy Living Homes. To start designing your new home today, visit us in Bedford, Indiana.

MAY I MAKE CHANGES TO THE PLANS?
Yes, we offer a wide range of options that will help you build the home that fits your needs. Our ranch and cape cod style homes offer the most flexibility, but there are some areas that must remain as drawn. Our two story designs are more rigid, but in some floor plans changes can still be made. You will have the opportunity to review your custom plans and make changes. Before the order is placed, you may select the options to fit your needs. Your home will be built just the way you want it.

WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE AN EASY LIVING HOME OVER A CONVENTIONALLY BUILT HOME?
The System Built Home construction process provides for a superior home. Because we build our homes indoors, in a controlled environment, we are able to maintain a steady and constant workforce throughout the year that helps ensure quality measures are maintained. We are able to deliver a home to your site in 8 to 10 weeks resulting in faster completion time and less interest on your construction loan. Finally, every Easy Living Home is inspected inside the facility prior to shipment and the subsequent on site inspection.

Construction

MAY I DO SOME OF THE WORK OR GENERAL CONTRACT THE HOME MYSELF?
Yes. Check with your lender to make sure they will allow you to be your own general contractor and then work out the details with Easy Living Homes. Many lenders are allowing it with our system built homes because the quality standards and cost controls are better than with site built construction. Even so, we will follow all of your projects through to completion -- verifying accurate estimates from the subcontractors and ensuring the proper timing of their work in relationship to the total project.

WHEN DOES THE BUILDER GET INVOLVED?
We encourage you to consult with Easy Living Homes even before you purchase your building site. If you have already purchased your property, we will help you select and customize the plan that will best fit the site and the needs of your family.

Service

WHAT ABOUT SERVICE?
Probably the most important reason All American Homes and Unibilt work through an authorized builder network is the service after the sale. We all know that nothing is perfect and there will be items that need attention after you move in. Easy Living Homes will be there to determine the course of action for all your service and warranty issues. We will cover some things, some by local subcontractors, some by the manufacturer, some by All American or Unibilt, and some by your homeowners insurance. Whatever the appropriate course, Easy Living Homes, LLC is there to review the problem and work with you to get it resolved.
